“Harvest Gold” A walk through our September garden will usually be interrupted by the feeding activities of the American Goldfinch. Molting into their winter plumage effectively camouflages the birds among the dried seed heads of Sunflowers. Just ahead of the impending frost a Morning Glory joins in, taking advantage of remaining mild days to produce a few scattered and untidy late blooms.
