Taking a break from indoor activities led me down to a wooded area along the Poudre River in Laporte.  Of the birds in the area it was the Chickadee in a Box Elder that caught my eye. He looked at me, and I became more aware of his surroundings; the bloom of spring color in younger growth and the energetic branch angles surrounding him. The moment became the painting….”Spring Break”
