At the Environmental Learning Center here in Fort Collins Colorado one will find thick colonies of Sandbar Willow along the river. Some of the branches hold bits of high water debris from a past spring runoff. A few branches are swollen with insect galls and often a Song Sparrow claims the area as part of it's territory.
